Hey!
I recently assembled my Ryzen build about two months ago and it's performing well.
I have the following components:
- Ryzen 1700 at 3.75ghz
- AsRock Fatal1ty b350 gaming k4 motherboard
- RAM: G.Skill Rip Jaws 4 (expected to reach 3000)
- Graphics card: Radeon RX480 8gb nitro+

I'm trying to ensure my computer runs smoothly, but it struggles with games like Overwatch at stable 100 frames or GTA at 30.

The EVGA B series isn't their top choice, I've noticed several users on this forum having an i5-6600k with an RX-480 or GTX 1060 experiencing poor performance. Once they upgraded their power supply, the systems functioned properly. Let's not jump to conclusions just yet. Monitor your system voltages using HWInfo and its logging feature, play a game for about ten minutes, then upload the data. This will help determine if the issue lies with your PSU.

Have you verified the windows power performance profile? If it isn’t set to high, it might lead to issues. It’s a straightforward solution. Also, try it on the stock version.

You're unsure about your PSU model, but you own an Evga 550b PSU.

Verify your BIOS settings; I noticed varying motherboards but encountered a problem where the CPU clocked at 1550MHz due to auto-voltage settings at 1.45V, which was too high. Adjusting it to 1.3V resolved the issue and improved game performance.

I’ve enabled that setting and even used the custom Ryzen One when it launched.
Avoid the Ryzen Balanced Power plan; opt for the Performance one.
Performance > Ryzen Power plan for gaming.
