In India the prices for Ryzen processors are listed as follows: 1. Ryzen 3100 at ₹8688 (≈ $114.79), 2. Ryzen 3500 at ₹10400 (≈ $137.41), 3. Ryzen 3300X at ₹11310 (≈ $149.44). It's clear the gap between 3100 and 3300X isn't just a few dollars like in the US. I initially wanted the Ryzen 3500 but waited for new CPUs. I plan to pair it with a GTX 1650 Super (₹14000) or GTX 1660 (₹16000). Which CPU-GPU combo offers better value?

They suggested 3300X for the CPU and 1660 for the GPU, noting it provides a significant performance increase relative to the cost.

If you don't purchase any additional CPUs here (meaning the next one will always replace everything), it's 3500.

3500 offers the optimal choice for saving time without needing an upgrade. If you intend to upgrade within a year, the 3100 becomes the better option.

Aren't the Ryzen 5 3500 hard to locate unless in certain prebuilt configurations? I’d say the 3600 is better than the 3500, which in turn is better than 3300X, then 3100, and finally 1600AF. The 3500 features six cores without SMT. The 3300X offers four cores with SMT, which slightly enhances performance compared to just two actual cores.

According to @5x5, the 3500 offers the highest value. It excels in single-threaded tasks, though the 3300 still has some advantages with its hyper-threading, providing only a slight edge in multi-threaded scenarios.

It won't work – the 3500's six real cores aren't enough to make it happen.

It's mainly due to the high clock speeds on both devices. When we look at the 3300X versus the 9400F, the 3300X stands out because the 9400F struggles to reach high frequencies. On the other hand, the 3500 is unlocked and with PBO 4.3GHz it's definitely a possibility.

Ryzen 5 3500 or 3600 works well with 2080 Ti in the future, you're right. Let me know if you need more details!
