The Ryzen 7 5700X fails to meet the minimum base clock speed.
I'm facing issues with my AMD Ryzen 7 5700X not increasing its clock speed beyond the base setting of 3.6GHz. I've reset the BIOS, turned on PBO, and verified the power settings in Windows. The only possibility I can think of is a RAM problem since XMP isn't enabled. My motherboard is an ASUS TUF gaming B550 Pulse Wi-Fi II. It might also be related to Windows.
Is there a maximum of 50 mentioned? Downloading HWinfo will give you a more detailed temperature chart, several readings per CPU component, etc. It could indicate VRM constraints if temperatures rise too high, though I think heat sinks should help. More temperature details would be useful.
85 remains acceptable; the chips target 95. It might be a restricted PBO schedule. Consider using a full-core curve optimizer with a negative offset for temperatures, or apply a fixed multiplier to bypass PBO.
This refers to a program running on your PC. The most likely candidates are AMD Ryzen Master or Armoury Create, which you installed to address the problem.
I’ll try to find other versions of PBO when I get back. In the meantime, I just realized I should mention that Ryzen Master can push the chip up to around 4.65GHz, but testing shows it caps at 3.6GHz. When I restart my PC, Ryzen Master still lists a maximum of 3.6GHz, which adds more confusion.
