This feedback highlights some concerns about the performance setup. It mentions issues with power consumption, temperatures, and clock stability that didn’t meet expectations. The user seems to have experienced high heat and unstable boost frequencies during testing.

Your setup is performing well with the Synthe Ninja 5, maintaining temperatures around 45-50°C during idle. For the 3950x, an AIO cooler would be suitable, though the specific model you should consider depends on your cooling needs and space.

Rejecting the standard setup. I'm running a Dark Rock Pro 4 and planning a custom loop later. I'll aim for a higher overclock instead.

It's essentially the same with Intel CPUs. Under typical conditions they'll boost only a few or a couple of cores. There are some motherboards that enable full core boost, but that goes beyond standard specifications and is more of an aftermarket setup.

A key benefit of Scythe Ninja 5 is maintaining temperatures below 69°C even during high load. The main issue is its bulkiness. Still, achieving more than 5007 on CB20 without overclocking seems unlikely. The maximum boost should be around 4.15Ghz, and all cores stay within limits under stress.

This statement needs to be emphasized multiple times. Highlighting it several times will convey the intended message clearly.

I think others have mentioned this but all core boost is much lower than single core boost. Most stress tests run on all core so that is why you see a lower boost. When monitoring my 3800x I generally see 2-3 of my cores alternatively hitting 4.524 Ghz max boost while all the cores can reach at least 4.441 Ghz which I feel is great since I am running it completely stock. Under an all core stress I see around 4.211Ghz on all cores if I am recalling correctly. With manual overclocking I can achieve an all core boost of 4.5 Ghz at 1.4 volts no problem and honestly I think if I wanted to really tweak it, I could probably get that on 1.385 volts but since my non-OC boosts were so good, I didn't find it necessary to do much than run a single stress test at 4.5 Ghz all core just to see if could do it stably. Overall I am tickled pink that each and every core can get within 50 mhz of the rated max boost and that 3 of the cores can exceed this stock. It is a great CPU.

Gamers Nexus operated efficiently across various heat levels, achieving up to 4.4Ghz with all cores at LN2. optimal water performance reached around 4.2Ghz.

The item is faulty and needs a return. I’ll run additional tests to understand the issue further. It has a solid build and good cooling, though the CPU isn’t working well. Really let me know what’s happening.
