I own a Ryzen 5800X and attempted Minecraft with mods, but my FPS remains poor. I noticed the game depends more on CPU than GPU. I tried overclocking, but it caused my PC to blue-screen twice, so I stopped that attempt. Currently, I’m only adjusting DOCP for RAM, setting FCLK to 1800MHz, and enabling Above 4G Decoding. I don’t want to push the CPU beyond safe limits, yet still improve performance. My hardware details are: motherboard Crosshair VIII Dark Hero, CPU Ryzen 5800X, GPU RTX 3080 10GB, RAM Trident Z Neo 3600MHz (4 x 8GB), PSU RoG 1000W, cooling iCUE H150i Elite, storage WD Black SN850 2TB. The case provides good airflow, so temps shouldn’t be a problem. Some recommendations mentioned PBO, but I’m unsure how to apply it. My usage is mainly gaming and 3D printing. Have someone with experience helped me, or could you point me in the right direction? I’ve seen several YouTube tutorials, but none worked for me.

You typically achieve a score around 1000-1200 with high CPU power, reaching up to 1500 watts or more depending on your system.

TDP limit somewhere, a 5800x should draw in excess of 140W. Clock speed at higher utilization percent will drop if there's not enough wattage to sustain a higher boost clock.

You can easily skip Ryzen Master and rely on PBO2 for standard boost adjustments. Typically most CPUs support a +200MHz increase (maximum frequency shift) and around -15mV. Certain processors may reach -40mV at +200MHz, depending on cooling and thermal management.

I just watched a video and used those figures. When I ran cinebench, the first run stopped working.

We are applying PBO wattage restrictions because only the frequency and voltage adjustments are needed for PBO2.
