I'm experiencing an overheating issue with my CPU. It frequently shuts down automatically when it gets too hot during light usage. I've tried various solutions like Ryzen Master, BIOS adjustments, airflow changes, reapplying thermal paste, and modifying fan/pump speeds. Currently, my CPU usage is only 2% with a temperature of 82°C/180°F. After restarting, it returned to 2% usage and 60°C. The room temperature is around 22°C/71°F. I suspect the cooling system might be faulty, though I'm not entirely sure. Specifications include a Ryzen 7 5800X CPU, MSI MAG cooler, GeForce 1050 Ti GPU, and a Cooler Master case. I usually see the GPU running at about 40°C/104°F during intense games. If this persists, I'm considering a Noctua NH-U12A or downgrading to the Ryzen 5 3600x. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
If your CPU is overheating, the issue might be with the pump not being connected properly or it could be faulty. You can verify the connection by touching the tubes near the CPU block with your hands. If the pump isn't moving water, it should feel hot and warm compared to the surrounding area near the radiator.
