I observed the DisplayPort monitor functions properly during POST, but after the OS loads the screen becomes black and the backlight begins flashing. I tested various GPUs to rule out cable or monitor problems. I tried different Linux distributions—Manjaro, Ubuntu, Debian—and each recognized me as a generic display port device. I’m currently using a DisplayPort adapter to connect my monitor to integrated graphics. Debian 11 worked after a fresh install, though in very low resolution. Once I updated to the latest driver and GPU, the flashing stopped. I adjusted the resolution with XrandR on the model from CVT, but only halted the flash temporarily. Since my monitor runs at 144Hz, I switched to a model from CVT12, which didn’t work. I also attempted to use the same model in VivaKid without success. Any suggestions? Review outputs from lspci and grep for VGA details. Check dmesg and Xorg logs, search for amdgpu entries. Look in /etc/X11/ directory.
