I recently purchased a Ryzen 2700X and tested streaming with it. Everything functions properly at temperatures around 50/60°C. However, using OBS x264 with a very fast preset at 3500kbps, 1080p, 30fps results in poor quality video and a slide show. OBS reports "encoding can't keep up" and drops the stream to 10fps despite a CPU usage of only 30% maximum. I've tried various games and encoding settings, even those used by Linux on stream encoding Intel vs AMD. The internet speed is 500Mbps down and 200Mbps up, so the issue isn't with your connection.

You have an Nvidia GPU. You can select the NVEnc codec to optimize performance. This setup should deliver smooth 720p at 60fps with your RTX 2060 and R2600, achieving a maximum bitrate of 6000. Streaming under these conditions while gaming on the same machine might be challenging.

others seem able to stream smoothly even with a Ryzen 5, and someone like Linus has shared results using this CPU. Your GPU isn't showing any issues with NVENC, and the performance looks good at 30% usage.

I’m not sure what you’re asking, just that I stream with it. Most of the processing happens on the GPU. It’s possible you have a setting mixed up, or there might be an issue with your RAM. If you overclocked it, that could cause a problem. Otherwise, at around 30% usage, it seems like the game and software are using only a few cores, meaning you’re utilizing nearly all available resources. I’m sorry if that wasn’t clear.
