Hey there, I'm facing some issues with my RTX 4070 FE. I'm getting around 120 FPS in R6 Siege at 1080p, which is lower than the 240 FPS others see at 1440p. Even after changing settings and trying streaming, the game becomes unplayable and stutters a lot in MSFS. ETS2 also has poor frame rates. I updated drivers but didn't notice any improvement. After upgrading, I reinstalled them multiple times without success. Temperatures seem normal, BIOS reset didn't help much. CPU and GPU usage are high during R6 (20-50% and 90%), while in MSFS they're only at 20-30%. My settings are already maxed out except for MSFS where I've adjusted them before. I found some benchmark graphs on Imgur and have full PC specs ready if you need more details. Let me know what you think!

Checking the typical CPU performance metrics and power consumption for the 4070 is common. *The HWinfo64 report displays both peak and steady-state values.* The maximum and average readings are visible there, along with thermal and voltage constraints. For gaming scenarios, the data suggests stable operation under load. *The overlay confirms these figures apply during intensive sessions.* When comparing gameplay stats to real-time multiplayer, the main difference likely comes from network stability rather than hardware limits. Consider testing with a different connection or verifying packet loss could affect frame rates. GPU-Z will reveal the PCIe version in use, showing compatibility with your setup. It should match the expected PCIe 4.0 16x configuration.

CPU ran at 4GHz with 65W consumption, while the GPU was drawing around 190W on average. Internet performance is stable, no packet loss reported—game feedback indicates smooth operation. Connection uses a wired link with consistent 1Gbps up/down speed. GPU-Z confirmed PCIe x16 4.0 interface. The linked video shown isn't from me; it's an example demonstrating the potential for over 200 FPS. HWinfo https://imgur.com/a/U3MYmjX

Do you possess the original AMD chipset software for the B550? I've encountered several odd problems on more than a dozen AM4/AM5 rigs due to missing or outdated driver versions. A fresh install could help if you haven't done so recently.

Your RAM speed and settings align correctly with the manufacturer's specifications. You might have chosen a different G.Skill kit which affects timing. Try using CPU-Z to check your CPU and memory details. If needed, adjust the timings in UEFI to match your RAM's requirements—such as CL:16, tRCD:18, tRP:18, tRAS:38. Confirm the speed remains around 3200MHz and the voltage stays at 1.35V. Let me know the results.

New updates enhance performance consistency. ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI) BIOS 3202 Version 3202 16.27 MB July 27, 2023 "1. Upgrade AGESA to ComboV2PI 1.2.0.A 2. Address potential security risks for AMD and Ryzen processors 3. Boost overall system reliability Before using the USB flashback utility, rename the BIOS file (RB550FGW.CAP) with BIOSRenamer"

Uncertain about why they didn’t use the latest UEFI version. Thank you for noticing... @schakoska follow up as silcer12 recommended... and give me another shot if the newest one doesn’t resolve the issue.

I updated the BIOS and checked the clock speeds; everything looks good. The same RAM you mentioned is still there, and it’s now $50 less than it was three years ago. Sadly, performance hasn’t improved. By the way, I’ve had some odd problems over the past three years—just playing games, watching videos, or browsing online—and my screen and keyboard would freeze, along with the fans spiking to full speed and the yellow DRAM indicator lighting up on the motherboard. But recently, that’s not happened.

You might want to reinsert the RAM into the MOBO slots and, if this doesn’t resolve the issue, refer to my earlier message for instructions on manually adjusting the RAM timings (found in the spoiler section).
