Hello, welcome to the forum. I’m new here and hope someone can assist. I recently installed a new PC and when playing games it seems the CPU and GPU are handling the workload equally. The performance is around 60fps but the game looks very poor, and there’s some noise coming from the GPU. Here are the specs: i5-13500 Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000MHz, 32GB M.2 B760 with RX 4070 Founders Edition. The case is a Corsair RM750e. What should I do?
Which titles are running? What display settings are active? If you hear whine coming from the graphics card, it means the system is under stress and the built-in graphics chip isn’t being used. The sound from the GPU, such as coilwhine, is harmless and won’t harm the device’s life.
Hello. This was in Apex Legends, and I haven’t played any other games since I don’t have more installed. I’m using 1080p and the wattage listed on the NVIDIA overlay is 49 watts. I’ve checked all the cables. Should I try firmware updates?
The GPU needs to be working much harder than 50 watts even when displaying 1080p. Consider adjusting the BIOS settings to turn off Intel graphics, so only your Nvidia GPU is active.
We're just beginning the troubleshooting process. Your chances of the GPU being faulty are minimal. Is the HDMI or display cable linked to the GPU or motherboard?
Was das Monitor in die GPU eingesteckt, nicht in die Hauptplatine
The cable was connected straight to the GPU, and I double-checked my steps. I’m generally good at fixing things, but this one caught me off guard. Direct connection to the GPU.
Follow the steps carefully, keep the device offline, and note your results. Compare the performance with both Intel and NVIDIA drivers in a vacuum. After testing, reboot and wait 15 minutes before checking online for updates. If the score looks promising, great! If not, restart and try again. Let me know the outcome.
