You're considering a GPU upgrade for your i5 4590 with a GTX 650. It's possible the CPU could become a bottleneck depending on the new GPU's performance. For your current setup, the GTX 650 should work well with the RX 2060, but if you plan to go higher, look into the latest models like the RTX 4070 or 4080 for better future-proofing.

It seems a 1050 Ti.A model would handle about 20% of the bottleneck. Upgrading the CPU might be necessary, but if budget is tight and you're mainly interested in a GPU, a solid 1050 Ti.A is a great choice.

You should consider the RTX 2060—it may cause some bottlenecks, but not severely. Alternatively, the AMD RX 5700 XT offers better performance.

It slows down around half of the performance, hehe.

Are you relying on an online bottleneck tool? Those are unreliable. You can't accurately gauge performance that way. That i5 might cause issues in newer titles. It's best to upgrade to a 1660 Super and plan to replace the rest of your setup later.

I've looked into pairing the i5 4590 with recent GPUs such as the 2070. Usage stays around 50-40% in the latest titles.

This doesn't imply a 50% slowdown; it will likely be heavily CPU-intensive since the i5 requires replacement. That doesn't change my stance with you. The issue isn't just about a generic percentage—it hinges on many variables. For instance, if someone was doing 4K gaming, performance would improve.

It was an error on my part, but the performance should be solid with that CPU and a 20-series GPU.

You're only using 1080p resolution, so a bottleneck shouldn't be a major issue. However, if you were to push your graphics card to its limits by using a higher setting, it could still cause performance drops or overheating.

It’s expected that the 2060 won’t reach its maximum capability. In extreme slowdown situations, there won’t be noticeable variation in performance compared to a 1660 Ti versus a 2080 Ti.
