The RM1000x is not functioning properly.
Hello! I recently purchased a Corsair RMA1000X, but it doesn’t seem to function properly. After opening it, I noticed rust on one of the boards. When I connect the PSU or plug into the wall, nothing happens. Do you know what might be causing this issue? I’ve included the board with the rust, which could be the problem.
I believe the cost is around ten dollars, unless you're an electrical engineer, in which case it might be doable
It included every modular cable, which means I might be able to resell them.
Located a rm1000x priced at 60 euros—uncertain if it's a solid offer, maybe I'll try to persuade him.
Avoid this advice. PSU makers occasionally alter the pin layout on the power supply side between updates for the same model. Brands like Corsair, MSI, Thermaltake and Cooler Master have done this. If you own rev.2 cables, consider getting a rev.1 PSU to prevent damaging your 24-pin power connector and potentially destroying your board, CPU, RAM, or GPU. Never cut corners on the PSU—it can endanger your whole system.
I won't apply it on my main setup for testing; I'll use a generic board with a soldered J1900 chip instead.
