I don't understand why my monitor stopped working suddenly. It was functioning properly until it ceased operating. Could anyone identify a typical issue that might be responsible? The display shows a VGA error message, and the computer fails to show images except for the sound. File: 20221109_234323.mp4

Have you experimented with disabling the riser and connecting the GPU straight to the PCIe x16 port?

Yes, it works perfectly. That’s how I confirm it’s the riser. Actually, I’m typing this from the PC.

It seems you might want a different riser for a vertical GPU setup.

It seems like you're wondering if there might have been an alteration in the bios somehow. I don't have access to specific details about what was changed, but you might want to check the source or context for any modifications.

Unlikely. The system doesn't distinguish between your GPU being attached in a riser versus inside the motherboard's x16 slot.

It's a high-performance graphics card with an 8x architecture, designed for demanding tasks.

The GPU attached straight to the motherboard functions properly, but placing it in the riser fails. This suggests the riser is the problem, particularly if it previously worked before stopping unexpectedly.

I tested the riser on another computer and it functioned perfectly. Later, I tried using the BIOS fabric settings to check if that would help, but it didn’t make a difference. I’m still confused and running out of ideas.
