I haven't received the latest DOOM yet, but I'll get it soon, and I'm really looking forward to it.

Gaming would definitely exist. Both consoles and PC games have been available for a long time before Doom. Pong was a hit, and Oregon Trail was popular too.

Video games had been around for at least two decades when Doom launched. The game reinforced its genre, especially in areas like rapid action and repetitive fighting. GoldenEye and Half-Life introduced the notion that first-person shooters could include more than just combat. While I acknowledge Doom's influence, it aligns with other titles that made similar contributions to the medium.

DOOM hasn't always been popular, yet recent updates involving Vulkan have brought attention to it. The idea that it revolutionized gaming isn't entirely accurate—many titles transformed the industry long before DOOM entered the scene.

DOOM has a subtle impact on both Xbox and Steam. Additionally, Bill Gates didn’t originally intend to develop games for Windows; DOOM helped shift that direction.

Well, considering this, it's likely gaming would look quite different now without Motorola.
