The rise in core clock is lowering my FPS.
When I boost my core clock on the GPU, it actually lowers my performance. The only way to fix this is to set the power to maximum while keeping everything else at its default settings. I still can't understand why this happens.
Did you verify that your GPU is operating at a higher speed during gameplay?
It’s likely you’re already near the maximum capacity even with standard clocks, so pushing frequencies further will only lead to more throttling. Try raising the power limit and slightly reducing voltage. This should provide extra headroom to potentially boost the frequency.
Record your main frequency and voltage levels, plus the GPU-only power consumption when using GPUz during gaming under both stock and overclocked configurations. Analyze each metric in both situations.
Each GPU (and CPU) reduces voltage slightly differently. If you're using the frequencies and voltages from another thread, you should be near the minimum limit. But just as you checked to make sure the voltages you gave are stable for your GPU initially, you can lower them further and test again to see how far your specific GPU will go.
