I've observed the right hinge showing increased resistance lately. When it hasn't been used for a while—like when my laptop stays open on a desk—I hear a crisp snap or pop when opening or closing, especially at the right hinge. However, after several cycles, the noise and resistance fade significantly, except for a faint pop in that area. A closer look reveals the entire hinge shifts upward on both sides. It's worth mentioning that the keyboard panel was replaced because the screw grooves where the right hinges attached broke (HP's standard fix). Although they changed the whole panel under warranty, it ended up just a month ago. The laptop is only about a year old and hasn't been moved much. I'm puzzled about what to do since the sound in the video isn't very clear, and I've already opened and closed it several times—so that loud pop seems gone.
