I wasn't sure where to share this but it seems the problem might be with the motherboard. I tried adding RGB lighting to my new build and faced issues like flickering or lights not turning on. I had a Lian Li O11 dynamic and added RGB fans, but the setup was tricky. I needed a converter because the board only supports 12V, while most of the RGB components required 5V. After some adjustments, the fans would flicker or fail to light up properly. The strimer and liquid cooler lights worked fine. Removing three fans helped stabilize the colors, suggesting a power supply issue. I'm unsure if the converter or the board is the main cause, and I'm wondering if there are other ways to fix this without relying on my motherboard. I saw a video about installing multiple lights and thought maybe similar solutions exist.
Make sure you're not cluttering the RGB port on your motherboard. It seems like you might have too many RGB controllers connected.
It's understandable to be confused—RGB builds can be tricky. The controller does share the same header with the Mobo, but it doesn’t necessarily draw more power because it’s designed to manage the lighting independently. Overpopulation concerns usually come from the controller itself, not the RGB connection.
