Hello, I haven't been around much and this isn't something I usually work with.
I understand how to keep a Ryzen running at a steady clock speed all the time and avoid downclocking on an Intel X79.
I'm trying to figure out what might be causing my clocks to drop from 4.4ghz to around 4.0, 3.9, 3.8, or 3.7 when I load at about half capacity.
Temperatures stay below 65°C even in games.
I've searched a lot on the internet and read many guides, but I'm still unsure what's missing.
When I run an OCCT test, it stays at 4.4ghz up to 85°C.
Alienware Aurora R4
x79
850 watt PSU
GTX 1060 6gb
1tb ssd
16gb ddr4 4x4 1600
3930k--- 1.35 volt multi x44

Speed step, turbo, and likely other adjustments can lower clock speeds when the CPU isn't busy enough to save energy. Setting the clocks won't boost your gaming performance; it merely increases power consumption.

What you're experiencing is likely related to the game's settings or performance issues. To keep the frame rate steady at 4.4, you may need to adjust or disable certain parameters in the game's configuration or system settings. Check for any performance-related options and ensure they are not causing instability.

I've already provided you with two options to disable in the BIOS.

Both options leave me running at 1ghz with an x44 multiplier.
