Good evening everyone. Recently I purchased a Dell laptop preinstalled with Ubuntu. I used it for a month mainly writing notes in LibreOffice, creating many documents. Later, I switched to Windows 10 due to certain reasons. I transferred all my files to an USB drive, reinstalled Windows, and restored the documents. I also installed OpenOffice, but faced issues. When trying to open a document directly from the desktop, I keep getting an error saying "the requested operation requires elevation." However, using OpenOffice → Open File works fine, though it takes a long time and sometimes I need to open documents quickly. Can anyone assist me?

You might have to adjust file permissions. Choose the folder with them, right-click, properties, then security, and modify ownership or permissions as required.
