Consider joining the singularity escalation for a low cost—just 12 dollars on G2A. What others think is important, but you likely won’t need the regular version to participate.

It's the same challenge but with better mechanics. If you enjoy strategy titles, it's essentially just a series of matches against AI.

I also came across a few critical comments about the usual issues, mainly the escalation problems. Thanks.

Are the remnants of the singularity extremely demanding on a CPU?

It doesn't seem worthwhile unless you enjoy the game.

I haven't played it yet, maybe I'll search for some videos. Just seeking the community's thoughts on it.

I enjoyed the campaign, but I don't really prefer strategy games long-term (time spent versus hours vs AI). The game works well, though the system has some issues. It's tough to control your forces because the factories providing them are poorly selected (for example, you have three armies and three factories, but when you request reinforcements for all three, they all end up in the same factory, leaving two idle—breaking the promise of a less resource-heavy RTS).
