It functions well on my desktop, but after downloading it to my laptop, the green launch button in Steam doesn't work properly. It displays a blue "Stop" message and reverts to the green button without doing anything. Using the EXE file requires enabling compatibility settings, which doesn't resolve the issue. The troubleshooter provided a different error code that I plan to capture in a screenshot. I've adjusted Steam's launch options with fullscreen code and resized it, but the problem persists. Recently, I disconnected the 4KTV (set to 1080p) from my laptop and it launched in windowed mode. After reconnecting the TV and closing it, the game froze completely and stopped accepting inputs. When I power it down and restart it, the same issue continues to occur.

I managed to launch the game by accessing my laptop screen, but it doesn’t work on the TV. I’ve adjusted both displays to 1080p and enabled extended mode. The game only sees one screen and doesn’t offer a way to switch to another monitor. When I close the laptop lid, the game stops completely. Also, I’m curious about what “disable” does and why it’s present.

I faced a comparable issue recently in World of Warcraft. The solution was adjusting the DirectX settings from DX12 back to DX11. After making that change, everything returned to normal. You might be experiencing the same problem—review your DX settings and see if it resolves it. Stay safe and good luck!

It seems Doom 3 offers very limited customization options. I know it was designed for the original Xbox, but there’s no way to switch to fullscreen. Your feedback is appreciated. Thank you!
