Hello everyone! (new member here, sorry for not using many technical words – I’m not very familiar with electricity)

I purchased an ASUS RTX 4070 TI Super. My power supply unit is an Antec 850W, which I bought back in 2016.
The cable that came with the 4070 has two 8-pin connectors.
The PSU has two separate PCIe (6+2) 8-pin cables that fit into these:
And the Antec 850W PSU offers these ports:
My concern is whether it’s safe to connect the two PCIe (6+2) cables together in one of the 12V ports, next to each other. Does it matter which 12V port I choose? Should I need to replace my power supply or can I still use the one from 2016?

Thank you for your assistance!

Hello there! I'm a new member of the forums. My PSU is an Antec 850W, which I purchased in 2016. Antec is the manufacturer, and 850W is the power rating they advertise. Could you tell me what the model number of my unit is?

Also, if this Antec PSU doesn't work with the 4070, please kindly suggest an alternative PSU for this graphics card. I'm not sure if it matters when choosing, but my motherboard is from 2016 (MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150). Thank you for your time and assistance!

What is your budget and where do you think you might buy a new PSU? I plan to upgrade the old one.

Hello! I'm also considering making a change there.
The budget... it could be as low as 350€ if needed to make this work (I'm from Croatia). I purchase items from these two sites:

https://www.protis.hr/products/index/nap...32?page=14
Appreciate the assistance!

If you need to use that PSU, I would connect one PCIe cable to the +12V1 and +12V2 terminals so power comes from both rails.
I’m a bit paranoid, but I chose an ASUS PSU to match the Asus card, thinking if they were using the same connector for one then it would work for both. I just wanted to confirm there’d be no problems with the connectors.
I also made sure the PSU was oversized beyond my needs, not realizing what Nvidia was doing with the 5000 series cards.
