The processor ignores most conditions, especially when it stays under 80°C. Many modern motherboards automatically reduce fan speeds to keep the system quiet, maintaining a CPU temperature of 55-60°C or less. As long as the temperature remains in that range, the fans won’t spin faster to cool more quickly. No major concerns here.

It really varies with the room temperature. My space is about 28-30 degrees, which means normal temps of 36-38. If your place is cooler, the CPU should match. The Brother 1500X even runs at 40 in stock, but boosts to higher with an OC of +200MHz—though game performance drops a bit. I’d say around 32°C is ideal. Idle times don’t really matter much as long as you avoid throttling when using hard. I played for 12 hours straight on 1500X + 1050Ti, CPU usage stayed between 50-70, GPU was always at 98-100 because it’s RDR2—what do you think?

Check if your CPU supports overclocking and can reach 4GHz with a stock cooler. It may help performance but depends on the model and cooling setup.

The boost clock runs at 4 GHz, which makes me think it's probably not needed in most cases. Many games won’t even run at that speed, which is why I didn’t see any meaningful improvement after overclocking for RDR2. Only consider OC if you really need it, such as for productivity tasks or rendering. It depends on your motherboard—if you have an A chipset board instead of a B or X, you won’t be able to overclock.

I wouldn’t suggest heavily tweaking the stock cooler. It can manage up to around 400 MHz OC, and with MSI’s Gaming Mode set to 3.9 from 3.5 and Wraith Stealth, I’ve kept temps near 76-82°C during RDR2. But I’d avoid pushing beyond that.

Also, keep in mind that without enough case fans (like the one you have—14cm front and a 12cm back), temperatures will rise significantly.
