Our Micronics TSP100LAN printer has been experiencing problems at my workplace since we changed routers about a week ago. It connects through Ethernet to the router, which in turn links to both our Clover mini POS system and Wi-Fi. Initially, everything functioned properly after switching to the new router—printer got an IP via DHCP and was recognized by the POS. However, the next day the POS displayed an error when trying to connect. After checking the router admin panel, the printer disappeared from the list of connected devices. When I tried to retrieve its IP, it returned 0.0.0.0. Various troubleshooting steps—restarting, reconnecting cables, changing ports, even using a static IP—failed. Only a factory reset resolved the issue temporarily, but it reappeared the next day. I’m unsure whether the problem lies with the router/DHCP setup or the printer itself. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It seems the connection is failing with your network. When accessing the router admin panel, the printer disappeared from the list of connected devices. Trying to retrieve its IP address always returned 0.0.0.0. No matter how you reset or reconnect the Ethernet cable, or switch ports on the router, it doesn’t work. The only solution was to force the printer to use a static IP instead of DHCP. It would then connect within the assigned range rather than constantly trying to disconnect and reconnect.
