The real AA has disappeared.
The real AA has disappeared.
This approach doesn't always work because the game engine might rely on older rendering techniques that depend on previous frames. That makes it hard to implement MSAA or traditional methods effectively. We've therefore introduced post-aa support and reduced resources, which limits how much we can use or allow these methods. I'm not sure if I got this right, maybe I misread it.
I'm not sure it always works perfectly. I use MFAA to bypass MSAA when possible for improved performance. I can distinguish FXAA from other anti-aliasing methods, though all seem acceptable to me.
I discovered a more effective approach by using DSR/VSR at 1440 or 4k on my 1080p screen and maintaining low or disabled AA settings. In certain situations, this yields superior image clarity and sharpness along with improved performance, since some AA configurations require more resources than just higher resolution without AA. I apply this method for the majority of games I play.
