Every time I restart my PC, it occasionally fails to boot. Recently, the CPU flashed twice, followed by DRAM issues despite installing AMD Expo certified RAM, and another failure occurred. I’m unsure what’s behind this problem. It’s really stressing me out.

System details: ASUS TUF X670E, Corsair Vengeance 32GB, 6000Mhz EXPO RTX 2070, Masterwatt 750 cooler, Masterwatt 750.

First I'd remove the CPU from its socket and examine both the socket pins and traces for any signs of damage. You might not have it, but you could be missing an updated BIOS. If nothing appears there, try re-seating the CPU and then consider a BIOS update. Should that fail, attempt to re-seat the DRAM and finally test the RAM in just one slot (A2).

I refreshed the bios right after assembling my PC, avoiding any chances since I was aware Asus boards often had this issue. Would a CPU re-seat help?

I mentioned to @Blqckqut yesterday to try the am4 PC, they were also stuck in bootlooping, and it resolved right away. It might be as easy as gently shaking the machine. If that fails, attempt reseating the RAM and test with only one stick in slot A2.

Sure, I’ll wait for the thermal paste to arrive before trying to reattach it. Could you let me know if you’d like me to check back on the thread in two days?

Remember to let me know you don’t require additional thermal paste. When I mention reseat, it means simply remove and reinsert it carefully while ensuring proper alignment. The thermal paste should remain intact.

No, you don’t have to replace the thermal paste each time you remove the cooler. It’s not necessary unless you notice issues like poor performance or overheating.

It's not always the case. It relies on the tightness of the screws.

@filpo Recent update: Before attempting to replace and reposition the CPU, I explored the BIOS and reviewed discussions from others facing similar issues. It seems adjusting the PCIe slot settings—specifically changing the GPU slot Gen from AUTO to GEN 4—resolved the problem temporarily for me. Now, even with EXPO enabled, I can boot into Windows successfully. I haven’t seen the solid DRAM LED anymore. I’m glad to assist anyone encountering the same situation.
