The ram stick might be damaged.
Hello! I assembled my first PC yesterday. Everything functioned properly with expo, PBO, and undervolting. Today, after booting Windows, I encountered a memory management error. After some troubleshooting, I was able to start the system without any RAM stick. It looked like a faulty RAM module, but it only appeared today. Once I reinserted it into the motherboard and restarted, everything worked. Should I reach out to the shop for a replacement, or is this just a one-time issue? The RAM is G.Skill Flare X5, DDR5, 32 GB, 6000MHz, CL30. Thanks!
Consider refreshing the bios for better memory assistance. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, proceed without using the expo and let the system run at standard speed.
This occurs in the newest versions and isn't included in the demo.
I'm checking to see if you're running a Gigabyte motherboard for the first time.
I switched the motherboard parts now. I moved the RAM from the fourth slot to the second slot and vice versa. I’m not sure what worked, but it should be fine.
Thanks for your help. I believe I resolved the issue but I'm still unsure about the steps. I changed the RAM from slot 4 to slot 2 and then from slot 2 to slot 4, effectively swapping them. It seems the motherboard wasn't properly recognizing the RAM. Initially, removing RAM 2 worked, but putting it back didn't help. Then I reinserted it into the second slot, which functioned correctly after a few hours and multiple restarts. Still unclear how this fixed the problem.
I wanted to check if I'd face the same problem when getting my motherboard, and swapping them resolved it. Probably just one solution at most.
