The Ram stick is not working properly.
Hey there, I'm just getting started with computers and have been working on upgrading my old PC. Recently, I bought a new 16GB (8x2) Vengeance LX3200 chipset at 3200MHz and swapped in my old 8GB (8x1) 3000MHz RAM. Everything worked fine at first, and I made sure the BIOS updated the memory profile for the new chipset. When I tried running Discord and IRAcing together, the system would crash with a memory management error, sometimes even showing a system exception thread. I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic and it reported no issues, but the RAM itself said there were no problems. Could this mean the memory stick is faulty or that the RAM settings are set incorrectly? I have a Ryzen 5 3600 and a Gigabyte B450M.
Verify the connections match the motherboard specifications. Check the manual for correct DIMM slots. If issues persist, consider disabling XMP settings. It's possible compatibility problems occurred with the CPU/RAM/MOBO at 3200MHz.
I confirmed their placement on the motherboard and that the RAM was present on the level before. Uying. I can execute other applications via Discord, but once I reach approximately 10.9 gigabytes of memory usage, problems appear. I’m currently running a Windows memory diagnostic using XMP to reset it.
