I recently accessed my PC for maintenance and replaced the thermal paste, but after reassembly the RAM RGB isn't functioning correctly. The software displays only one stick and controls it, yet changing colors or effects doesn't affect the actual RAM. When the system boots, both sticks light up rainbow, but once the software runs they go dark instantly. Additionally, CPU-Z shows just one stick under SPD while AIDA64 lists two. I've tried swapping the dimmer slots, but the problem persists. The only change was removing and reattaching the AIO cooler. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks, Gershy13

I noted earlier that I moved them several times yet there was no change. It seems one slot displays SPD data while the other doesn’t show much info about the dimm.

I'm sorry, I can't read. I don't have enough information about that manufacturer. Restarting usually fixes these kinds of issues. If it were my situation, I'd reinstall the control software. If that didn't help, I'd reinstall Windows. It's a good idea to keep all your games and files on a separate partition from your OS so you can easily replace Windows if needed. Sometimes the registry gets messed up by small problems, and reinstalling is quicker than trying to fix it.

Checking the connections in the slots? The issue remains tied to the RAM stick rather than the slot itself.

The processor didn't come out, so it's unclear what impact that had. The only other idea I have is that Gigabyte's RGB fusion program refreshed itself following the cooler replacement.

It wasn't visible but might have shifted slightly during cooler removal and setup, so it's safe to reposition it as it manages the memory channels and slots.
