That aligns well. It seems like another issue might be at play.

I just took out the gpu and i Tool Dome pictures. Could you tell me if this is normal ? 1 contact on each side of the PCIE Slot seems to be shorter ? Is this normal ? @Eigenvektor

They function correctly but are designed to be brief, ensuring a final touch during hot-swap setups.

Many challenges exist with DDR5 memory not being posted properly by both Intel and AMD. The main issues seem to involve high-density modules (32GB+ per stick) and CPUs/motherboards struggling with speeds like DDR5-6000+. This problem wasn’t immediate when DDR3 and DDR4 arrived, but it’s taking longer to resolve this time. "Early adopter" penalty applies. @spytser Which BIOS version are you running? Even if you’re a few months behind, testing the latest release could help. My colleague and I assembled a 7900X system for FPGA server use last week. We faced significant memory issues, failed MemTest86, and couldn’t boot. The motherboard was pre-installed with BIOS from January 2023. Only one newer BIOS existed in March 2023, which we flashed onto the board. It’s now functioning correctly even with EXPO enabled.

Thanks for the update... I was busy at work and didn’t have time this day... I checked yesterday and learned it’s okay.

Hey there, I got a bit delayed responding. Let me walk you through what happened with my setup. I removed the GPU, cleaned the PCIe slots on the MOBO, and made some minor adjustments. It worked fine at first. When I got home, the VGA light came back on and I was quite upset. I began questioning my actions during installation—maybe I messed up the drivers or something similar. After some thought, I decided to reset the drive and reinstall Windows completely. The process went smoothly, and all drivers were updated. The final step was turning on DOCP, which activated successfully and kept the VGA light glowing until now. It turns out my installation was correct from the start, and I didn’t need a full overhaul. My graphics card seems fine, and everything is running with the latest software. MOBO version 1409 from the 21.04.2023 release appears to be up to date.

I just looked at the ASUS site and saw they dropped a new version today... I’ll update the BIOS and get back to you. Appreciate your quick response—it really helped calm me down.

The BIOS upgrade focuses on the Ryzen 7000X3D line, making it a promising opportunity. Stay informed about the progress.

Hello, the BIOS I previously installed was optimized for 7000x3D processors, specifically the 1409 version. Yesterday I encountered issues with accessing the BIOS and failing to update it. This morning I restarted the PC and successfully accessed and updated the BIOS. Before updating, I turned off DOCP; now the VGA light is off, but I haven’t enabled DOCP yet. Should I turn it on now, or wait? Would enabling DOCP cause any noticeable performance impact?

When DOCP isn't turned on, your memory operates at JEDEC DDR5-4800? Absolutely, skipping this feature will cause a drop in performance.
