Hello everyone, I just installed a new computer recently. It has a Ryzen 7800X3D with a Prime X670E PRO, an RTX 4080, 32 GB RAM at 6000 MHz, and a Corsair RGB Vengeance 36-36-36-76 with vertical mount. I encountered some issues where the PC would sometimes fail to start and the VGA light on the motherboard stayed illuminated. Currently it works but the light is still on. I’ve tried troubleshooting by entering BIOS and disabling DOCP, which resolved the problem. However, when I enabled DOCP again, the light returned. I checked the ASUS website and noticed my RAM isn’t compatible with this motherboard. The compatible models are listed there. My concern is whether this could be the cause. If I use these RAM modules, could it damage the system? Should I wait for support to expand or do I need to upgrade? Also, is the vertical mount defective? I’m a bit confused and frustrated—please help me out. Thanks, Spyridon

It isn't marked as incompatible. It's only absent from the compatibility list, which doesn't imply a lack of support.

It's probable everything will function correctly. The QVL doesn't cover all possible scenarios.

I’d really go for a Corsair RAM. Their claims about being optimized are just noise, and it’s annoying how they try to grab attention. G. Skill works hard every day.

I performed the identical search as Spyridon, and it appears to be available on the Asus website. Do you think RAM memory has its own 'silicon lottery' without actually using silicon?

Memory chips are primarily constructed from silicon, similar to most other integrated circuits.

It's simply not included in the compatibility list. It isn't marked as incompatible.

I initially purchased a G Skill Set, but later returned it because I didn’t like its look. Since my PC is mostly Corsair-based, I thought it wouldn’t fit well.

This indicates the module wasn't specifically evaluated. It's probable it will function well, particularly if its requirements align with those already validated. Companies seldom thoroughly assess each module, especially when they're quite alike to previously tested ones.

I believe you selected the incorrect part number. The correct code starts with CMH, not CMT.
