You have Kingston 2x4GB DDR3 RAM at 1600Hz and 2x8GB G.Skill DDR3 at 2133Hz. Your ASUS M5A97 R2.0 board supports this configuration. The new RAM doesn’t click properly into the slots, but you can force it in and adjust the clips. When you power on the PC, the screen fails to load. Your BIOS is set to AUTO for memory speed. Consider checking if the RAM sticks are correctly seated or if there’s a compatibility issue with your motherboard. If the problem persists after manual adjustments, the RAM might be faulty—consider replacing it and verifying BIOS settings.

It seems to function properly on the desktop as I observe. The size matches what I have now. Model code: F3-2133C10D-16GXM

Based on the images, these products are designed specifically for PCs and not laptops.

I also attempted to install each RAM separately and in various slots, yet the screen remains unresponsive when the PC powers on.

I own the premium model with 2133mhz GSkill Dimms. The identical units come with matching blue heat shields, and another batch features red heat shields—no problems at all.

I can only place mine into the blue slots because my fan overhangs one of the black slots. This means I can only use two slots for RAM if I want both modules in. I tested putting a single module into a black slot, but it didn’t fit properly. Did yours click in or did you need to close the clips manually to secure the modules? I’m not sure if the RAM not clicking is the issue or if the problem starts when the PC boots and the settings are incorrect.

Observed after reinstalling old RAM, Task Manager shows 6.6/15.9GB used, but monitors aren’t loading. This happens after adding 2x4GB in MOBO. It seems the problem isn’t related to the RAM itself.

The allocated portion varies. You have 16GB total, but the system shows 16.1 / 38.4 GB committed. Your 'In Use' and 'Available' should sum to the full RAM. For example, if you have 9.9 GB used and 5.5 GB free, that adds up to 15.4 GB, which matches the available space.
