Hello, I just completed assembling my Girlfriend PC and her RAM isn't functioning. However, before I proceed, I confirmed it works on my own system and I checked compatibility with my PC. During testing, I disabled the expo/XMP settings in the BIOS. My girlfriend received two 16GB sticks, but I installed two 16GB sticks on my rig. When I tried her sticks on my PC, they worked perfectly. On her PC, they also functioned well. My PC specs include Ryzen 5 7600X, RX 7800 XT, Gigabyte B650 Gaming X-AX V2, and 32GB RAM. My girlfriend's specs are Ryzen 5 7500F, RTX 3070, Aorus B650M Elite AX Ice, and 32GB RAM. Please let me know if you need more information. THX for help!
It was a 2024 update, I refreshed it and still nothing altered... Got another suggestion?
Put her RAM into your PC and swap it in. That's the fix. Unless it conflicts with the white.
It functioned but the look is just about appearance. I have a black complexion and she gets a white one.
It's puzzling why the RAM isn't functioning properly on her setup.
Could the memory slot in your girlfriend's Mobo be faulty or unresponsive? Are there any diagnostic lights on the motherboard to check for issues?
Refers to the memory port on the motherboard where the RAM is connected. Removing it and testing could reveal the issue. I understand the RAM functions, so could the slot itself be faulty instead of the RAM?
