The laptop becomes extremely warm, advice I received was to purchase a Lexar 16GB DDR4-3200MHZ CL22 LD4AS016G-B3200GSST RAM. After installing it and turning on the device, I tested the capacity by opening many tabs in Google until the memory reached its limit. When I powered off the laptop, touching the RAM made me notice it was very hot, unlike my previous RAM which had identical specs but from another brand and a smaller size (8GB). Closing the back panel and repeating the test left me feeling the heat with my hand. I believe this could be risky for both the RAM and the whole laptop over time. I can't provide a temperature reading because the unit lacks a sensor. My options are: Solution 1 – ignore the overheating concern and buy another Lexar RAM to reach 32GB. Solution 2 – sell the current Lexar and purchase two Crucial RAM sticks.
What works well for you is generally fine for most parts of your laptop, with the exception of the battery. Temperatures above 55°C feel quite hot but aren’t a big concern for RAM. RAM can handle over 100°C, so it seems your RAM isn’t reaching that level.
Unless you're pushing your RAM beyond normal limits—which you aren’t—it operates at JEDEC standards and speeds. It can become quite warm before any risk of issues or harm arises. Most RAMs stay safe up to about 100°C. If it reaches temperatures that could harm itself or the device, it would be too hot to handle, likely as hot as boiling water.
