The Rage 2 on Ryzen 1800X is performing poorly.
Hi guys, I recently attempted to play Rage 2 on my PC and it's running poorly, especially with stutters while moving around. My specs include a Ryzen 1800X, 16GB Corsair LXRAM, 2x 8GB RAM, an ASUS 1070 GTX, a ROG motherboard, and an XFX 650W power supply. Have anyone else experienced similar issues with Rage?
XFX is the name of the brand, and 650W refers to the power rating. The age and model of the PSU are still unclear. Regarding your motherboard, please verify the BIOS version at this moment. If you're in BIOS, it's also wise to check the RAM configuration. Concerning the RAM, review the specifications of the kit and confirm the operating system version—preferably 21H1.
When working with the GPU, obtain the most recent drivers from Nvidia's support site and save them to your desktop or another location. Use DDU to remove the existing drivers, restart, then reinstall the GPU driver through an elevated command, such as right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
Lastly, where...
XFX is the brand, while 650W is the wattage. How old is the PSU and what is it's model? As for your motherboard, can you check and see what BIOS version you're on at the time of writing? While in BIOS(if you're there to check BISO version), it's also a good idea to see what the ram settings are. Speaking of ram, what are the specs to said ram kit? When in the OS, check and see what OS version you're on. Ideally you should be on version 21H1.
As for your GPU, download the latest drivers from Nvidia's support page and have it stored on your desktop or another drive. Use DDU to uninstall your GPU drivers, reboot, then manually install said GPU driver in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.
Lastly, where did you source the game from?
