During the initial setup of Rainbow Six 3’s singleplayer mode, I experience frequent freezing moments when marking locations with waypoints—it's incredibly frustrating. These freezes vanish entirely when running in Safe Mode.

Here are my system specifications:
Windows 10
Intel Core i5-7600k
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 with 6 GB of VRAM
ASUS Z170 Pro motherboard
16 GB of DDR4 RAM
250 GB SSD for the operating system
1 TB HDD for game storage and files
Corsair TX550M power supply (550 Watts, two years old)

I’ve attempted the following troubleshooting steps:
Complete reinstallation of the game, graphics drivers, and even Windows itself.
Forced use of DirectX 9 compatibility mode.
Disabled all possible settings within the NVIDIA driver panel, including anti-aliasing and VSync.
Tried every compatibility setting available.
Turned off Xbox Game Bar, DVR, and related features.
Experimented with dgVoodoo2, though I’m unsure if all configurations were tested.
Followed every suggestion outlined on PcGamingWiki.

Notably, the freezing issues are consistent—occurring each time I interact with the planning screen.
During these freezes, my GPU’s 3D usage briefly jumps to precisely 70%, never exceeding that level.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide!

The Corsair TX550M power supply is 550 watts and approximately two years old. It has been consistently maintained with regular cleaning and, to the best of my knowledge, is functioning without problems.
