Hello,

I’m experiencing an issue with my GeForce 1080 Ti utilizing the most recent drivers. My system functions flawlessly in virtually all games, however, The Witcher 3 consistently causes screen freezing. The display locks up, but audio and gameplay continue for a brief period—sometimes longer. Subsequently, Windows appears, and the game closes automatically. I am running Steam at 2K/WQHD resolution with maximum settings. Could installing Nvidia Experience potentially resolve this? I haven’t used it previously, but am wondering if it might offer a solution. Despite recognizing this as a frequently reported problem, I haven't yet discovered a fix.

Could you tell me about your power supply unit?

Navigate to Steam, find the Witcher 3 properties window, and then choose the “verify game files” option. If any files are absent this might lead to problems.

The problem isn’t related to the power supply unit, although I possess an OCZ Fatal1ty 750W. It’s functioning optimally when under stress, and I've conducted tests to confirm this. I will check the files, but suspect it’s unlikely to be the root cause, considering its recent installation.

Despite recent installation of Battlefield 4, performance suffered significantly. After checking for errors with Origin and discovering several missing files, reinstalling them resolved the problem completely. I suspect these files were absent because of issues with the Origin server itself.

Successfully installed via Steam, a single file was absent and subsequently re-downloaded—this did not resolve the issue. The game continued to freeze after approximately 20 minutes of gameplay.
