I need help because I tried every single thing. I have an EVGA 2060 Super card, and it might be helping or hurting things. I was testing overclocking settings by going up slowly, one little bit at a time. I set my memory to +1100MHz and the GPU to +120MHz. The game ran perfectly stable for 1000MHz memory and 110MHz GPU. But then, after the test started, it froze completely. Nothing worked, my computer just hung there. Then a blue screen popped up about two minutes later. Now, Siege won't even open. I tried reinstalling the game again, checking all files, running as an admin, and making sure compatibility was good. I also reinstalled the drivers. Absolutely nothing fixed it. Other games work fine on my PC, but only Siege is broken right now. I have another copy of the game installed on a different SSD, and when I tried that too, it crashed again. I reset my overclocking back to normal so the GPU isn't running hotter than usual. It feels like Windows blacklisted the game from starting up. Every other game runs fine though, but Ubisoft won't even let me get a crash log. I am completely stuck here with no solution
When you click to start the game, do you see a blue screen? Can you actually see it playing in Task Manager? Sometimes it launches, but the system just says "Application Launching" instead of showing any pictures or sound. Please tell me what exactly happens if this is your case.
Close down your computer, remove that hard drive holding a duplicate copy of *Siege*, turn it off completely, then plug it back in. Restart your PC and run a fresh installation now instead.
They are in the same drive as my other games too. I reinstalled both of them but they still didn't work. However, the games run smoothly from the SSD and even tested the GPU out on a different machine and everything worked there! It just doesn't work with siege on my PC anymore.
Never mind folks. I figured out why this happened. I don't actually know exactly what went wrong, but it just seemed really messed up with Windows, so I looked for updates and tried to fix things by installing them. Nothing worked then. So I did a disk check and repair, which fixed the problem. Now everything is working fine in Windows and also the game works properly. I have no idea why Windows made this happen, but I knew it was causing crashes because of something happening with Windows. Thanks for helping me out!
