Hello everyone I own an Asus Tuff gaming a17 2023 laptop equipped with Ryzen 7 am5 and an RTX 4050. It works with G-Sync but I’m facing an issue—it only displays that my laptop is enabled for G-Sync when I open the Nvidia control panel. My main monitor is an Asus VG27QL3A, a fast IPS 1 MS 180 Hz monitor that supports free sync and G-Sync. I’m using a DisplayPort to Mini-CPU port because my laptop only has HDMI and Mini USB 4 ports. I’m trying to turn on my Asus monitor but don’t know how to do it.
the monitor outputs are connected internally via the integrated GPU (amd) and not through nvidia. you can verify this by opening the nvidia control panel and selecting "configure surround, physics" to see which video outputs are linked to which GPU. an example image is available here: https://help.autodesk.com/sfdcarticles/i...000000UYaF. you won't be able to modify it in settings, as it is physically wired. in that scenario, enabling freesync in amd display settings might be necessary.
I connected it to the other mini USB 4 ports and now both monitors display correctly. Setting up G-Sync shows the first monitor as Asus and the second as my laptop, with the top option to enable G-Sync for full screen. In that case, I had to activate the variable refresh rate.
