I was using various productivity and design applications on my PC, and my display suddenly became corrupted—showing multi-colored stripes, bands, and static. Initially, I thought it was a monitor issue, but checking the settings revealed everything was normal, and switching to the backup PC confirmed it too. To restore a proper display, I had to perform a hard reset on the main PC and updated my GPU drivers to 25.9.1. The problem started again two days later, but after a full shutdown and restart, the display image improved. No unusual events appear in the event log; the system doesn’t crash, only the display behaves oddly. Some background apps are running, but not the main ones from the first incident. I’m unsure how to fix this—any advice would be helpful. Could it be a faulty DisplayPort cable? (No problems during the first year of use.)

Make sure to indicate whether the system appears in your signature. If it does, potential graphical problems might stem from a faulty video cable or graphics card. Consider using a different cable, remove the graphics card, and test with igpu.
