No, that's not the case. I can't imagine how things will turn out.

The project appears worthwhile based on the design elements and the short development timeline. It's taking less than five years to build, which is impressive compared to typical timelines. I'm finding it enjoyable.

In another way, CR mentioned they never intended for the game to finish. That means he didn’t want the features locked in or the gameplay to end.

Haha, it's a bit different now, isn't it? He doesn't seem to have anything nearly as good as what he promised backers. All I really hoped for was a new version of Freelancer. That's what this should be if it ever comes out.

I prefer delaying the launch to guarantee functionality, rather than rushing with a half-baked version like Battle Bugfield 4. Unlike typical AAA titles, this project operates on a much larger scale—something you might not realize. See how dangerous and elite it is, given the ratings, the alpha updates, and module improvements. With such a big scope, there will be more critics and fans, and it looks like your stance aligns with some of the critics. Still, the game is worth trying if you believe in its potential. It’s a commitment to support development, especially since it’s still in early stages. If you’re unsure, wait for the full release so you don’t miss anything. All ships will eventually appear, so you’re likely getting early access as a beta tester—just a taste of what’s coming. Currently, they’re offering a pseudo-PTU release.
