I was playing around when suddenly the keyboard stopped working and Windows couldn't detect it. I switched to my older keyboard, which functioned temporarily before failing as well. I'm unsure what might have caused this issue and have tried several solutions: updating and reinstalling drivers, plugging and unplugging both keyboards, restarting Windows multiple times, and using different USB ports. This is strange because other peripherals work fine. My system details are: Asus Prime X570-Pro, G.skill Trident Z RGB 2x8GB DDR4, Ryzen 5 2600, GTX 1060 6GB, Seasonic 650W PSU.

It's the first time I've ever encountered something like this. To troubleshoot, if you have another PC, laptop, or phone that supports a USB keyboard, check those. If the keyboards aren't working, you may need to replace them. However, this time try connecting it to a different USB port and see if it works.

The issue is that I can't test them on various computers, and the older keyboard functioned properly before I connected it for a few hours.

If this keyboard is outdated, we can't determine how long it lasted.
Typically, when a keyboard fails, certain parts stop functioning.
However, in your situation, the whole keyboard isn't working, correct?
Therefore, we should flag that USB port as defective. A different port should be used for the new keyboard to ensure safety.

Creating and model of these keyboards?
The 650 W Seasonic PSU is quite old, used for gaming, video editing, or mining.
What other USB devices have been connected before?
You can try the following steps:
Shut down the device, unplug it, and open the case.
Remove dust and debris carefully.
Check that all connectors, cards, RAM, and jumpers are securely placed.
Inspect for damage signs such as exposed wires, melted parts, bent or pinched cables, or discolored components.
The goal is to fix just a few loose connections without introducing new issues.
