I'm dealing with a problem on my new computer. It's only two months old, so I suspect it's not a hardware problem. During gaming sessions, my keyboard sometimes stops working properly—keys feel stuck after being released. The issue only appears when I press the W, A, S, and D keys, as well as modifier keys. This is frustrating because it causes me to lose progress in parkour games. The glitch happens when FPS drops slightly (around 75-55), but I need a fix. It's been happening since I got this machine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Intel Celeron N4120 CPU @ 1.10GHz, 4 GB RAM
4.00 GB storage, 3.82 GB available
64-bit OS, x64 compatible
HP Laptop 14-dq0052x
Despite the poor specifications, it provides sufficient FPS for the games I play (60-80).

Is there any base HP control software meant for keyboard customization or similar features? It seems only two months old despite a processor that’s about five years old. Was it stored somewhere, possibly in a warehouse, bought used or refurbished, or given to you by someone who actually owned it for over four years? I’m considering a fresh OS install and then adding any available HP software updates or drivers, provided they’re still supported and there’s a download page. It feels like a hardware problem, though it could also be due to software corruption. For more guidance, see the Windows 11 clean install tutorial on forums.

regrettably, none of those solutions succeeded, so I ended up using an external keyboard which resolved the problem.
