Hi guys,
I checked the forum before posting but didn’t find the exact solution. In the task manager, when sorting by CPU usage, the Windows Indexing process keeps running in the background, using minimal CPU (around 1-5%). Since I need to use the search feature in Windows, I don’t want it to be disabled. My question is: if that’s the usual behavior, will I still be able to use the search field in Explorer without indexing? Or can I only locate items that have already been indexed? Any advice would be appreciated.

I had to do it because it kept running endlessly without finishing. So indexing was always active.
Every time it started, it would begin counting from zero and never stop. The next day it would restart.
Still works, just slower.
