Hello everyone!
After launching CS2, I've noticed frequent game crashes on both my PCs. The issue is more common on my second machine. My main PC has stopped crashing significantly after some time.
The crashes typically occur while playing a 5v5 match. When I open my web browser (Opera GX), it crashes. This means I can't keep many tabs open during gameplay. It happens whether I'm using low or high settings.
During the crash, the browser displays a message about insufficient memory, and the game shows RAM-related error codes. I've checked temperatures and component usage, and everything seems normal. The CPU stays around 50°C max, with usage between 60-70%, sometimes reaching 90 or 100% during game start or server changes—rarely.
RAM is between 9/10 and 15 GB, GPU usage is 70-90%, occasionally up to 100%. The GPU temperature is usually 65-70°C. Crashes are more frequent on demanding maps such as Ancient or Inferno.
My current specs appear adequate for CS2? Should I upgrade RAM, or is the game just not well optimized for my setup?
Please share any suggestions or solutions.
Best regards,
Jobjanusz

CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:

Include the age of the PSU along with its make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this time.
Try using DDU to remove all GPU drivers from your platform (Intel, AMD, Nvidia) in Safe Mode, then manually reinstall the latest GPU drivers from Nvidia's support site via an elevated command.
What ram usage patterns do you observe when the system is idle?

I don't feel all this is important. Still, I'm going to list most of it for you.
CPU cooler: Cooler Master hyper 212 LED (RED)
Power supply: Cooler Master MasterWatt 750, 7 years old
Chassis: Sharkoon AI7000 Glass
Storage: SanDisk SSD PLUS 240GB
Hard drive: ST2000DM008-2FR102 2000 GB
Operating system: Windows 10
BIOS version: 8.02
Display: Samsung C24FG7x
Attempted DDU usage several times; drivers from their site also failed to install.
RAM during idle: 3,9 out of 15,8 GB. This was measured without any programs running.

According to your specifications, your system appears ready for CS2, though crashes could stem from various causes. If you often hit memory limits, upgrading RAM might be beneficial—adding another 8GB could be helpful, particularly when using several apps at once. Another option is to look for driver updates for your GPU and confirm your BIOS is current. Adjusting virtual memory settings in Windows or increasing the paging file size may also resolve issues linked to memory problems. A clean boot can help identify if background programs are interfering. For more in-depth guidance, refer to the provided link.
