The question about CPU and GPU power consumption cannot exceed 190W, but it only reaches 180W at 170W.
The question about CPU and GPU power consumption cannot exceed 190W, but it only reaches 180W at 170W.
my spec
processor-r5 3600
gpu-rx 6650xt
mb-msi mpg b550 gaming plus
ram-corsier 16 gb 3200mhz
smps-corsier cs550w
i test every game but my cpu watts stay under 50w
and during intense gaming the gpu power fluctuates
when my cpu reaches 50 watts, the gpu output stays around 100 watts to 110 watts
is this issue coming from the cpu, psu, motherboard or something else?
msi afterburner, hwmonitor, cpu-z, gpu-z were the tools I used to gather those data. Will this affect my gaming performance?
Do you have encountered any particular issues when interpreting the data? Have you modified settings within BIOS or MSI Afterburner, such as adjusting parameters?
i try to adjust my cpu clockspeed and voltage in bios, and overclock the gpu using amd adrenali. before changing my cpu clock and voltage, it was under 40w after i increased it to 50w in games. also, i recently upgraded my cpu and gpu with yt benchmark and videos showing smooth and consistent fps without stutters. my performance is much better now.
Start by resetting everything to its original configuration. Bring the motherboard back to its default state, verify functionality, then apply your XMP profile. If no changes are necessary, leave it as is. Also, return the graphics card to its standard settings.
Tell me about the ambient temperatures you're experiencing and how the machine behaves at those settings.
What kind of cable are you using for your display?
And what game or games are you playing? What resolution and frame rate are you using to reach that performance?
I attempted this now
Restored the default BIOS configuration and adjusted my GPU settings to their defaults as well. The same outcome occurred: the processor couldn't exceed 48 watts, CPU usage stayed below 60%, and the GPU was unstable.
Tested game Hogwarts
My monitor is 60Hz, 1080p resolution
The cable included with the monitor box is used
I reset all my BIOS and GPU settings before playing Hogwarts
In the game, I set population to low and other values high
Playing at 1080p
The frame rate is off, FPS unlocked
I achieved around 120 fps, which is normal for seniors, but when there are many people nearby I drop to 30 fps and it stutters a lot
CPU usage remains under 60%
And the CPU power draw stays at 50 watts or less
My CPU temperature was previously 67°C to 70°C, and around 60°C during minimum load, up to 70°C at maximum load
After reset
CPU: 61°C 63°C
GPU: 67°C 70°C
Not found. Are you asking about the CS550M, CV550, VS550, CX550 or CX550M?
Open the game settings. Enable V-Sync. Adjust the frame limit to 60 if needed. Your display isn't displaying additional frames beyond that. Attempting to force more frames won't help if you can't see them.
