Initially I had no understanding of electronic engineering, which is why I posed this question. A budget motherboard sometimes uses two sets of MOSFETs in parallel without a boost stage. Imagine two 40A MOSFETs connected together in one phase. The main concern is whether the load will be shared equally between those two MOSFETs, and if so, whether it behaves similarly to a larger 80A configuration.
