I chose CEVO instead of ESEA because I don’t want to pay for it. I’m using the client and everything seems fine. I’ve moved from MM to Gold Nova 4 from DMG since my alt improved from MG2. I’m not getting good quality games anymore and the cheating is becoming more serious. Are there any CEVO players around?
Cevo is fine, but if you are bad you will get rekt and flamed. I play CEVO sometimes.
Teams are performing well enough, no problem. Would CEVO have anti-cheat measures in place? That would be helpful.
ESEA for premium service, quite intrusive so essentially no cheaters allowed—free. You receive what you pay for. Often half the time, players quit within the initial rounds. I haven’t completed a game without at least one player leaving. FaceIT—free. As CEVO, but with significantly fewer players abandoning. CEVO and FaceIT anti-cheat methods fall far short of the ESEA solution.
When options are limited to FaceIT and Cevo, OP needs to expect matches against players significantly weaker than himself yet stronger than him. These games often lack a balanced ranking system, leading to mostly one-sided dominance by either side.
