Hey... I bought a new GTX 1070 G1 gaming revision 1 graphics card and also a PSU Unit from Circle Gaming 550w. While playing games, strange noises started coming from the PSU after about half an hour. This has made it difficult for me to play games for longer periods. Could you help me?

Stop using that computer right now.
There’s a huge gap between the $50-60 450w PSUs and products like circle.
These brands’ wattage claims are completely false, and the devices don’t actually deliver at this power level.
They’re basically equivalent to the "2000w" car amplifiers that are sold in bulk from a van.
The problem is that when these PSUs fail, they often lack proper safety guards, which can damage your GPU, motherboard, and other components.
Some have even ignited fires in homes.
We strongly advise you to stop using this PSU and get a replacement immediately.

The circle is of low quality. It indicates the PSU is nearing failure and won't supply sufficient power during the game. Please discontinue its use and obtain a replacement immediately. Corsair CX450M/ CX550M are suitable budget options.

I visited the circle service centre and they informed me that your system setup is high, so the PSU can't handle the load while gaming. They asked if Corsair or Antec 550w would work with your configuration and which is better. I need advice on what to do.

Corsair CX550M will suffice. The circle is merely of low quality and fails to maintain 500W as advertised. A high-end 450+ PSU would be suitable for your system. Estimated usage: 1070~150W, CPU around 100W, others about 50W. Maximum draw stays under 350W with an additional 100W buffer.

Yes, you can switch the PSU to a Corsair 650 W for improved performance. Using a higher wattage supply won’t necessarily harm your GPU, motherboard, or other PC parts as long as it meets their power requirements.

No, high-quality PSU units aren't necessary; the CX550M is sufficient.
