I recently purchased a new 750 watt power supply since my previous one would burn up any new hard drive I tried in it. While gaming, my monitors briefly go black and the game crashes. My setup includes a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GPU (about 600 watts) and an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with six cores, plus one hard drive. No overheating issues, and I never overclock it.

If the "old power supply kept burning any new hard drive i put into it," I'd be worried about other parts like the motherboard and graphics card. What happened to those new hard drives with the old PSU? If they had spinning hard disks, it might suggest the +12V rail on the old PSU was too high, possibly above the normal range of +11.4 to +12.6V. A bad 12V rail could also harm the GPU and CPU VRM stages.

It's a ThermaltakeTR2 S 750 watts. sorry it took so long to respond i havent had the time to check.

You purchased a low-quality PSU. It would be wiser to invest in a better one. Tier B is a good option.
